Audi R8 LMS twins receive the Pursuit recommission treatment for RM Sotheby’s

The 2011 iteration of the Audi R8 LMS is an iconic example of historic GT3 racing at its peak. With more than 110 race-wins and 12 championships across only 3 seasons of period racing, this car is a force to be reckoned with and one we’re seeing return to the track with the same prowess in this new era of historic motorsport.

With the Bathurst 12-Hour-winning R8 LMS under the Pursuit team banner for the last two years, when RM Sotheby’s found Chassis #312 and #323 in China, they hit up Pursuit to take on the job of updating both cars from their original R8 LMS China Cup spec to ‘modern-historic’ race-winning performance.

After 14 years of competition, demonstration and display across China, these cars will be back on European home soil to get back out on track from mid-Summer this season. Stay tuned to see the finished cars and see everything our team did to get them in peak condition for future race wins…
